Regular ceiling fan installation: five-blade ceiling fan on a plain ceiling
Electrician30-day warranty included

Regular ceiling fan installation

Takes about 30 min

You bring home a new ceiling fan, and the electrician does the rest. They check the ceiling hook is firm, assemble the blades and downrod, hang the fan, connect it to the existing switch and regulator and close the canopy neatly.

The price shown on this page is the starting price for one regular ceiling fan on an existing hook and point. If the hook is loose or missing, or the regulator needs replacing, that is quoted before work starts. If you are replacing an old fan, it can be taken down in the same visit.

The job takes about 30 minutes. Keep the fan box unopened if you like, with all its screws and the capacitor, so nothing goes missing.

Questions about this service

Can you take down my old fan as well?

Yes. Tell the electrician at the start and they remove it before fitting the new one.

My new fan wobbles. Can that be fixed?

The electrician balances the blades and tightens the downrod during installation, which settles most wobble.

Are spare parts included in the price?

No. If a part or material is needed, the electrician quotes it and fits it only after you agree.

What if the problem comes back?

If the work done stops working within 30 days, we come back and fix it at no charge.
