Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data BookProNow Services Private Limited ("BookProNow", "we", "us") collects when you use the website bookpronow.allsweb.net, the BookProNow app or the BookProNow Partner app, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
In short: we collect what we need to arrange a visit and take payment for it. We share it only with the professional doing the job and the companies that run our platform for us. We never sell it or use it for advertising. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we then deactivate it and keep its records, as section 7 explains.
1. Who we are
BookProNow Services Private Limited runs BookProNow and decides how your personal data is used, which makes us the "data fiduciary" under the DPDP Act. Our registered office is at 3rd Floor, Sunrise Tower, MI Road, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302001, IN. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. The data we collect
What we collect depends on how you use BookProNow:
- Account details — your name, your mobile number (which is also how you sign in) and, if you add one, your email address.
- Booking details — the services you book, the visit address and its map location, the time slot, any notes for the professional, and the price, tax and discounts on each booking.
- Location — when you allow it, your device's precise location, used to find the professionals who serve that spot and to place the pin on the map. It is read only while you are choosing an address. Our apps do not track your location in the background.
- Payments — the amount, status and reference of each payment and refund. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment partner's secure page; we never see or store them.
- Messages and reviews — support requests, your conversations with our assistant, and the ratings and reviews you write.
- Device and usage data — a notification token and the type of device if you allow notifications, and server logs (IP address, time, and the page or feature used) that keep the service secure and help us fix faults.
- Voice input — if you tap the microphone, your phone's own speech service (from Apple or Google) turns your speech into text, on the device or on their servers. We receive only the text you send.
If you work with us as a professional, we also collect: identity and address proof, PAN, a police verification certificate, GST registration if you have one, skill certificates and a photo; your bank account details and bank proof for payouts; the categories and area you work in; your location if you share it while signing up; the jobs you are offered, accept and complete; your earnings and payouts; and your ratings and performance measures (acceptance, cancellation and on-time rates).
3. Why we use it
- To create and secure your account, and to sign you in with a one-time code.
- To take, schedule, assign and complete your bookings — which includes sharing them with the professional assigned to the visit.
- To take payments, issue invoices, process refunds and pay professionals.
- To send you messages about your bookings and account, by SMS, WhatsApp, email and push notification.
- To answer support requests and settle complaints, disputes and warranty claims.
- To keep the platform safe: verify professionals, prevent fraud and misuse, and enforce our terms.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
- To improve BookProNow: understand which services are booked where, fix faults, and improve our assistant's answers.
We use your data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account or make a booking, and for the legitimate uses the DPDP Act allows, such as complying with the law. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your account. That does not undo processing already done, and it does not erase records: see section 7 for what we keep.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
4. Our assistant
BookProNow has an AI assistant that answers questions, suggests services and can prepare a booking or a change for you. It never books, cancels or pays anything until you confirm it on screen.
Your messages are processed by an AI model provider on our behalf to produce replies, and are stored with your account so the conversation can continue. Our team may review conversations to correct mistakes and improve answers. Please do not share card numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in a chat.
5. Who we share it with
- The professional assigned to your booking — your name, phone number, the visit address and location, and the details of that booking, so they can do the job and reach you on arrival. They see only the bookings assigned to them, never your wider history.
- Customers you serve, if you are a professional — your name, photo and rating, and your phone number for a booking assigned to you.
- Companies that run our platform for us, under contract and only on our instructions (listed below).
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone's safety or to establish or defend a legal claim.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is merged or sold, who must keep the protections in this policy.
The companies that process personal data for us are:
- Our hosting provider — the servers our website, our apps' servers, the database and sign-in run on, which we manage ourselves.
- Cloudflare — private storage for professionals' documents.
- Razorpay — online payments and refunds.
- Meta (WhatsApp) and MSG91 — delivery of one-time sign-in codes.
- Resend — delivery of emails.
- Google — push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and maps and address search (Google Maps).
- An AI model provider — replies from our assistant.
6. Where your data is stored
Our main database is hosted in India, in the Mumbai region. Some of the companies listed above process data in other countries; where they do, they are bound by contract to protect it, and we transfer data only to countries the Government of India has not restricted.
7. How long we keep it
- Account deletion — when you ask us to delete your account, our team reviews the request and then deactivates the account: it can no longer sign in, and we stop sending it messages. We do not erase the data in it. Your profile, saved addresses, bookings, invoices, payments, support requests, assistant conversations and memories, and (for professionals) documents and bank details are kept with the deactivated account for our business and legal records. You can ask us to restore the account within 90 days. After 90 days it stays deactivated, and the same mobile number can be used to start a new, separate account.
- Account details — while your account is open, and after it is deactivated as described above.
- Booking, invoice, payment, refund and payout records — for eight years, because tax and accounting law requires it. This includes accounts that have been deactivated.
- Support requests and reviews — with the bookings they belong to. Reviews stay published after an account is deactivated.
- Assistant conversations and memories — while your account is open, and kept with it if it is deactivated. You can see and remove what our assistant remembers in your profile at any time.
- Professionals' documents and bank details — while you work with us, and kept with the account if it is deactivated.
- Server logs — for a short period set by our hosting providers, for security and troubleshooting.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction — change your name and email yourself in your profile, or ask us to correct anything else.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account: in the app, go to Account → Delete account; on the website, go to your profile → Delete account. We review the request and deactivate the account, keeping its records as section 7 explains. You can also write to us to ask that specific personal data be erased; we will tell you what we can erase and what the law requires us to keep. How account deletion works.
- Withdraw consent — switch off notifications in your profile's notification settings or your phone's settings, or location access in your phone's settings, at any time; or ask us to delete your account.
- Nominate — name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
- Complain — raise a grievance with us (section 14). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected] and tell us the mobile number on your account. We confirm the request comes from you before acting on it, and reply within 30 days.
9. App permissions
Our apps ask for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Location — to find professionals near the address you choose (customers), or to suggest your work area when you sign up (professionals). Only while the app is open.
- Notifications — booking updates, and job offers for professionals.
- Microphone and speech recognition — only when you tap the microphone to talk to our assistant.
- Camera and photos (Partner app) — to upload your documents.
You can change any permission in your phone's settings. The app keeps working; only the feature that needs it stops.
10. Cookies on our website
We use only cookies that the website needs to work:
- Sign-in cookies, which keep you signed in.
- bpn_cart, which remembers your cart and any booking you made as a guest, for 30 days.
- bpn_loc, which remembers the area you chose, so prices and availability match it.
- bpn_tia, which keeps your conversation with our assistant, for 30 days.
We also keep a few settings in your browser, such as whether you have already chosen a location, your assistant conversation and an unfinished checkout (your name, phone number and address line), so a refresh does not lose them. They stay on your device and you can clear them in your browser settings. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not allow third-party tracking.
11. How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in our database mean each person can read only their own records, and professionals see only the bookings assigned to them. Professionals' documents are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived links after a permission check. Staff access is limited to people who need it, and sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.
12. Children
BookProNow is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We publish every change on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
Changes on 21 October 2026 — a request to delete an account is now reviewed by our team and then deactivates the account, instead of erasing its data at once. Sections 3, 7 and 8 describe what we keep and the 90-day restore. Requests made before this date were handled under the previous version.
14. Contact and Grievance Officer
