Fan regulator replacement: modular switchboard with a fan regulator knob and a round-pin socket
Electrician30-day warranty included

Fan regulator replacement

Takes about 30 min

When the fan jumps from slow to fast with nothing in between, hums on low speed, or the regulator knob is loose or warm, the regulator is usually the problem, not the fan. The electrician opens the switchboard, checks the regulator and the fan supply, and replaces the regulator.

The price shown on this page covers the labour for one regulator. The regulator itself is quoted before fitting, or you may buy your own to suit the board, modular or old-style. A step-type electronic regulator is the usual choice for regular fans.

The job takes about 30 minutes. If you have a BLDC fan, tell us, because it usually should not have a regulator at all.

Questions about this service

How do I know it is the regulator and not the fan?

If the fan runs normally on full speed but the lower speeds misbehave, the regulator is the usual cause. The electrician confirms with a quick test.

Do BLDC fans need a regulator?

No. They are controlled by remote or app, and an old regulator should be removed or bypassed.

Are spare parts included in the price?

No. If a part or material is needed, the electrician quotes it and fits it only after you agree.

What if the problem comes back?

If the work done stops working within 30 days, we come back and fix it at no charge.
