Decorative fan installation: wooden decorative ceiling fan under a timber roof
Electrician30-day warranty included

Decorative fan installation

Takes about 1 hr

Decorative fans come with more parts than a regular fan, often a light kit, extra canopy covers and heavier blades. The electrician reads the maker's manual with you, checks the ceiling hook can carry the extra weight, assembles the fan and fits the light kit before hanging it.

The job starts from the price shown on this page, which covers one decorative fan on an existing hook and point. A stronger hook, a longer downrod or extra wiring for a separate light switch is quoted first. The fan and its parts are bought by you.

Keep the box, manual and every bag of screws together, and tell us if the fan has a remote so the electrician can pair it.

What's included

  • Hook checked for the heavier fan
  • Fan and light kit assembled following the maker's manual
  • Wired to the switch and regulator
  • Remote paired where the fan has one

  • 30-day warranty on the work done

What's not included

  • The fan, bought by you
  • New hook, downrod or extra wiring, quoted and agreed before fitting
  • Repair of the fan's own electronics

Questions about this service

Can the light on my fan work from a separate switch?

Yes, if there is a spare switch and wire. If a new wire is needed, the electrician quotes it first.

My fan is heavy. Will the old hook hold it?

The electrician checks the hook before hanging and quotes a stronger one if needed.

Are spare parts included in the price?

No. If a part or material is needed, the electrician quotes it and fits it only after you agree.

What if the problem comes back?

If the work done stops working within 30 days, we come back and fix it at no charge.
