How the visit goes

Measure the frame
The carpenter checks the frame for square and marks where the door needs trimming.

Trim and cut hinges
The shutter is trimmed and hinge recesses are cut so the hinges sit flush.

Hang and fit hardware
The door is hung, then your lock, handle and stopper are fitted.

Swing and latch check
The door is opened and shut several times to confirm it swings freely and latches.

Questions about this service
Does the price include the door?
No. The price covers the carpenter's labour and basic fixings. The door, hinges and lock are bought by you.
My new door is a little too big. Will it still fit?
The carpenter can trim a solid or flush door that is slightly oversized. If the frame itself is out of square, they tell you the options and the price before doing anything.
Can you polish the door after hanging it?
Polishing is a separate job. You can book Wood Polishing under painting once the door is in place.
