Wash basin installation: white counter-top wash basin with wall tap
Plumber10% off30-day warranty included

Wash basin installation

Takes about 1 hr

A new basin needs to sit level, take weight without moving and seal neatly against the wall. A verified plumber marks the bracket or bolt positions to suit your tap and drain points, fixes the basin, fits the tap and waste, connects the bottle trap to the drain and seals the gap at the wall with silicone. For a pedestal basin, the pedestal is aligned and the basin is bolted to the wall above it.

The visit takes about an hour, at the fixed price shown on this page. Buy the basin, tap, waste and trap before the visit. If the old basin needs removing or the wall needs patching, mention it so it can be agreed first.

Questions about this service

Do I need a separate waste and trap?

Most basins are sold without them. Check the box, and buy a waste and bottle trap that suit your basin.

Can you fit a counter-top basin?

Yes, on a ready counter with the hole cut. Cutting the counter top is not part of this service.

How soon can I use the basin?

Straight away for water. Give the silicone edge a few hours before splashing it.
