How the visit goes
- 1
Check the thread
The plumber looks at your spout and the accessory to confirm they match.
- 2
Remove the old fitting
Any old aerator or extension is unscrewed and the scale on the threads is cleaned off.
- 3
Fit the accessory
The new piece goes on with its washer, hand-tight plus a careful turn so the chrome is not marked.
- 4
Run the water
The tap is opened fully to check the spray pattern and that nothing drips at the joint.
What we need from you
- The accessory, bought to match your tap
- A photo or note of which tap it goes on
Questions about this service
Which accessories can be fitted?
Aerators, swivel or flexible spout extensions, wall flanges and similar add-ons that screw onto an existing tap or point.
My old aerator is stuck. Can you remove it?
Usually, yes. The scale is softened and the aerator is worked loose. If it has to be cut off, that is agreed with you first.
Do I need to buy the accessory?
Yes, please buy it before the visit. Check whether your spout has an inner or outer thread.
