Jet spray repair/replacement: toilet and bidet with a chrome tap in a tiled bathroom
Plumber30-day warranty included

Jet spray repair/replacement

Takes about 1 hr

A jet spray usually fails in one of three places: the trigger head, the hose, or the angle valve on the wall. A verified plumber finds which one is leaking, then fixes it by changing the washer, tightening the hose nut or fitting your new spray set with its holder.

The job starts from the price shown on this page. If the angle valve behind the spray is worn, a replacement is quoted and agreed before fitting. If you want a new spray, buy it before the visit and keep the hose, head and holder together. Clear the area around the toilet so the plumber can reach the wall valve easily.

What's included

  • Check of spray head, hose and angle valve
  • Washers renewed and hose nuts tightened
  • Your new jet spray set fitted with its holder
  • Holder fixed firmly to the wall if loose
  • Leak test with the supply fully open
  • 30-day warranty on the work

What's not included

  • The new jet spray set, bought by you
  • A new angle valve, quoted before fitting
  • Concealed pipe repair behind the tiles

How the visit goes

  1. 1

    Find the leak

The plumber opens the supply and checks the trigger, hose ends and wall valve for the drip.

  2. 2

    Agree the fix

You hear whether a washer change will do or a new part is needed, and the price is agreed.

  3. 3

    Repair or replace

The washer or hose is changed, or your new spray is fitted and the holder secured.

  4. 4

    Test under pressure

The trigger is used several times with the valve fully open to confirm nothing drips.

What we need from you

  • Your new spray set, if replacing
  • Clear access to the wall valve beside the toilet

Questions about this service

My jet spray has very low pressure. Can that be fixed?

Often it is scale in the head or a half-closed angle valve. The plumber cleans the head and checks the valve before suggesting a replacement.

The hose drips only when the spray is not in use. Why?

The hose stays under pressure all the time, so a worn washer at either end shows up as a slow drip. A washer change usually fixes it.

Do I need to buy the spray?

Only if you want it replaced. Buy the full set with hose and holder before the visit.
