Buy an anti-cockroach or trap-style cover in the right size, and the plumber fits it.
My drain is also slow. Can that be done now?
Clearing a drain is a separate service. Add drain blockage removal so both are done in one visit.
The cover sits higher than the tiles. Can it be lowered?
If the frame is set into the tiles, lowering it is civil work. The plumber will tell you what is possible.
