Five signs your wiring needs an electrician
Warm switch plates, a breaker that trips weekly, lights that dim when the fridge starts. Here is what each one means.

Warm switch plates
A switch plate that feels warm is carrying more current than its connection can handle. Turn that circuit off at the board and stop using it until someone has looked.
A breaker that trips weekly
A breaker doing its job once is fine. Weekly means something is drawing more than the circuit allows.
