Basic saree draping

Takes about 20 min

Pleats that keep coming loose are the usual problem with draping alone. The beautician drapes your saree in the style you want, with even pleats, a firm tuck at the waist and the pallu pinned at the shoulder. If you are wearing a lehenga, she sets the dupatta neatly in a simple style.

It takes about 20 minutes, so it fits easily just before you leave.

Have your blouse and petticoat on, keep the saree ironed, and have plenty of safety pins ready. Wear the footwear you will wear at the event, so she sets the hem at the right length.

Questions about this service

Why should I wear my footwear while she drapes?

Heels change the length. Draping with them on means the hem sits right and you do not trip on it.

Can she drape a lehenga dupatta?

Yes, in a simple style. Heavy dupattas and lehenga-style saree drapes are under Advanced saree draping.

Does she bring safety pins?

Please keep your own safety pins ready, along with the saree, blouse and petticoat.
